Inform parents of upcoming merchant fees with the following letter. This can be adjusted as you see fit, by adding your own center details, dates, merchant fee amounts, policies and more.

We hope this letter finds you well. We are writing to inform you of an important update regarding our payment processing policy.


Effective [effective date], there will be merchant fees associated with providing the service of Pre-Authorized Debit (PAD) and credit card payments. These fees are only applicable to PAD and credit card transactions and are paid directly to our merchant service provider.

  • For PAD payments, a 1% merchant fee will be applied.
  • For credit card payments, a 2.4% merchant fee will be applied.


These charges are not an increase in our core childcare fees but rather are an enhanced childcare cost.
