Modified on Mon, Nov 25, 2024 at 12:47 PM

This guide outlines how to create a Potty Journal in the Communicate module. The Potty journal is used to let the parents’ know each time the child’s diaper was dealt with or each time the child used the toilet.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Open the Child’s Profile

      1.  Click the Communicate icon on the left hand side to access this module.

   2.  Select the Journal tab.

    3.  Find the child you would like to add the journal to in the list on the left-hand side. You can also search by entering the

child’s name in the Search field.

    4.   Select the child’s name and click the plus (+) symbol to the right, beside the date. The plus sign appears once a child’s
          name has been selected.

Create a Potty Journal

To add a new Potty journal:

  1. In the dialog box, select the journal Type drop-down menu. Select Potty as the journal type.
  2. Ensure the Staff/Admin and Admin View Only boxes are not selected. This way the journal will be visible to parents.

      3.   Enter the Time the toileting occurred.

      4.   Select the Toilet Type drop-down arrow and select the type of toileting that occurred. Available options are: Toilet
            Diaper, or Undies.

      5.   Select the Toilet drop-down and select the type of toileting that occurred. Available options are: Dry, Peed, and
            Bowel Movement

      6.   If the child had an accident, slide the toggle over to indicate this. Otherwise, leave the “Had an accident” area
            unchecked.

      7.   The Description box is used to add any relevant details. An example is for a child who is potty training, letting the
parents know their child notified the staff they had to go, rather than being asked to try.

    8.   Click Submit to save and publish the completed journal.

You can now view the journal in the child’s profile.
